The Education and Awareness team executes the requirements in the Workforce Accountability Policy.This Operational Risk Consultant will: Create companywide information security related control documentation, education material, and awareness content. Develop, edit, and write content, publications, and education-related artifacts associated with? information and cyber security awareness. Monitor results of IS education activities to analyze learning and identify where additional education is required. Facilitate on-site courses and events covering defined IS functions and domains. Maintain knowledge of emerging risk to develop IS awareness to meet the changing risk environment. Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring risk-based programs to identify, assess and mitigate any operational risk that arises from inadequate or failed internal processes, people, systems or external events, while maintaining a balance between risk mitigation and operational efficiency. May provide oversight to an operational risk program. Works with complex business units and provides operational risk expertise and consulting for projects and initiatives with high risk. May provide systems security consulting on complex issues. Designs and develops testing strategies, methodologies and analyses; evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, systems and internal controls; analyzes business and/or system changes to determine impact, identifies and assesses operational risk issues and assigns risk ratings consistent with established policy standards. Consults with business to develop corrective action plans and effectively manages change. Identifies training opportunities; designs or coordinates the development of training materials delivers or coordinates training delivery. Reports findings and develops business cases to influence senior management on the need for controls to mitigate risk. Manages or coordinates production of periodic operational risk performance reports for senior management, including trend analysis and recommended strategies. Manages project teams and may provide guidance to less experienced consultants. May directly manage 1-2 specialists or consultants. Assist with creating control documentation, developing remediation plans, and reporting controls. This includes: Facilitate continuous process improvement based on analysis to drive overall process maturity.Required Qualifications6+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 6+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both4+ years of information security experience2+ years of experience in information security risk management or technology risk management3 + years of experience writing and editing internal communications and training-related materials in a corporate environmentA BS/BA degree or higherDesired QualificationsAdvanced Microsoft Office skillsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracyAbility to interact with all levels of an organization5+ years of information security experience4+ years of communications experienceKnowledge and understanding of information security operationsKnowledge and understanding of information security principles, policies, and proceduresStrong attention to detail, including accuracy in grammar and a sharp focus on eliminating errorsA BS/BA degree or higher in marketing or communicationsA BS/BA degree or higher in science or technologyA Master's degree or higher in science or technologyCertified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)Other Desired Qualifications Skill in developing information security documentation collateral such as newsletters, articles, web content, announcements, education material and business requirements. 2+ years of experience maintaining or creating training materials that require adherence to published standards such as Associate Press Style, corporate style guide, and branding standards.Job ExpectationsAbility to travel up to 10% of the timeDisclaimerAll offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
