It all begins with you.The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company---s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo---s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.This role will report to the Senior Control Director covering Operations Utilities and will serve as the key point of contact for all matters pertaining to the overall risk management program. The Financial Crimes Operations Utility (FCU) Control Director is tasked with supporting the FCO/KYC control team in the direction and performance of day-to-day risk management with primary focus on supporting the centralized FCO Utility delivery model integration for effectiveness, sustainability and scalability. Ensuring effective frameworks are established as well as to ensure significant and emerging risks are captured properly as they arise. This position will support activities aligned with the Internal Control and RCSA programs across the front line control teams. We establish common expectations for control activities at the Company level and promote a strong control environment through internal control standards that rely upon control ownership by front-line units, a common control taxonomy, centralized control inventory, and dedicated governance. This role will partner with executive management to define and deliver initiatives and programs as well as build relationships with a wide variety of senior leaders and enterprise partners across all business groups and enterprise functions (BG/EF).Specific Responsibilities:

  • Drive consistency, efficiency and quality through oversight and ongoing program management for creating effective controls.--
  • Demonstrate strong relationship-building and project management skills in order to drive consistent execution of the internal control program across the Control Executive Teams, Control groups and BG/EFs, in conjunction with all lines of defense and partner organizations.
  • Facilitate development of program requirements along with process training, implementation execution and program communication
  • Engage with Consent Order Integration leadership team as required in support of consent order work stream activities and deliverables.--
  • Provide support of governance activities and guidance over in-line activities
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with development of data sets, metrics, KRIs and project plans
  • Implement a framework for monitoring, tracking and reporting across front line teams in alignment with RCSA initiatives to track control activities--
  • Aggregate, evaluate, report results and escalate where necessary. Recognize opportunities for improvement in the business and to act on those opportunities
  • Develop presentations and materials for senior leaders with effectiveness across a wide range of audiences, with demonstrated ability to draw insights and conclusions from content originating from multiple sources and of various quality levels and to tie those insights into a cohesive story/executive presentationAs an Employee Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business.       • 10+ years of experience in risk management or 10+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 7+ years must include direct experience in risk management
      • 7+ years of management experienceOther Desired Qualifications
        • Strong expertise in developing, implementing and reviewing controls.
        • Experience in RCSA methodology and QC/QA process and methodology
        • Clear understanding of risk framework, corporate/business policies, and programs to translate into plans for the business, function and/or risk type--
        • End-to-end knowledge of Financial Crime Operations policies, procedures and operating model including systems and platforms used to carry out activities along with key risks and controls.
        • Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/Know Your Customer (KYC) knowledge preferred
        • CISA, CRISC and/or CAMs certification desired
        • Technical understanding of Corporate Risk operations, processes, and responsibilities.
        • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and regulators (including virtual) as well as across various levels within the organization. Experience working in a matrixed environment and the ability to effectively manage and build relationships within the BG/EFs and with Corp Risk
        • Track record of managing transformation efforts, preferably in the context of risk management/control with demonstrated ability to lead enterprise wide initiatives
        • Able to think strategically and pivot between multiple priorities--
        • Strong listening and communications skills (both written and oral) with the ability to convey complex information and ideas, including complex data sets, both simply and clearly--
        • Able to synthesize material from multiple sources (e.g., presentations, SharePoint sites, regulatory materials, etc.) to create logically-structured content that clearly communicates the intended topic to a wide range of audiences
        • Leadership and project management skills to drive alignment across stakeholder groups to develop and deliver repeatable end to end risk management solutions and controls aligned with business/customer processes
        • Ethical integrity and demonstrated ability to identify risks and confidently raise issues, escalate early and engage in constructive challenge, doing so independently when necessary
        • Demonstrated strength delivering effective solutions from concept to execution.
        • BS/BA degree or higher, MBA or other advanced degree from a top program preferred
        • Advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Share PointJob Expectations
