Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. We manage risk according to the Risk Management Framework and ensure all employees understand their individual accountability for managing risk.Corporate Risk Strategy Planning & Governance Office (SP&G)The Strategy and Planning and Governance Office is responsible for supporting Wells Fargo's Chief Risk Officer in managing the Corporate Risk function, its primary functions include: Corporate Risk Business Strategy, Planning and Operations; Governance; Corporate Risk Technology & Data Architecture; Corporate Risk Front Line Risk Oversight, Corporate Risk Global Delivery; and General Business Administration.-- -Commercial Banking, Corporate Risk-- -- Governance and Reporting Leader-- -This newly created position is within the Commercial Banking Chief Risk Officer (CB CRO) organization will play a critical role in evolving the CB CRO program.-- -The Commercial Banking SP&G leader is establishing a team to perform SP&G related functions in support of the business-aligned CRO model in Corporate Risk. This role will report directly to the Leader, and will be responsible for a variety of SP&G activities, including executive and board reporting, program management, governance, and planning and business management, as well as planning and implementation of strategies, policies and process enhancements.This position will interact with senior Commercial Banking business and Risk leaders as well as senior Risk leaders, including the CB line of business CROs, SERM risk directors, and other SP&G leaders. The role could also interact with regulatory agencies including the OCC, FRB and FDIC. This position may also provide direction to a cross functional team using business acumen and expertise. This role does not have direct reports.-- -Primary Responsibilities may include: Contribute to critical risk management programs and activities, including risk and control committee management, executive and board reporting, and monitoring the execution of Risk Management Framework related programs Implementation of standard routines and roadmaps related to enterprise risk initiatives and projects-- - Manage information delivery for key risk management assessments and program deliverables Establish priorities and drive accountability providing leadership to ensure solutions are designed, integrated, and controlled to optimize effectiveness, account for all aspects of risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate Develop and implement reporting/processes with key stakeholders and senior management, including root cause, cost/benefit, and risk analysesPreferred Locations: Charlotte, NC; Minneapolis, MN; St. Louis, MO.Other Locations that may-- -be considered:-- - Des Moines/West Des Moines, IA; Phoenix/Chandler, AZ; Dallas/Irving/Plano, TX; Ft.
