essential to the life and economy of Arizona.Job BriefThe
Compensation Analyst performs activities to develop, implement and
administer compensation policies and programs. This position
ensures that compensation plans are competitive, fiscally viable
and in accordance with local and federal labor law requirements.
The Compensation Analyst will evaluate SRP's compensation packages
by analyzing responsibilities and doing a comparative analysis
against qualified market data. This position requires high-level
business acumen and sound understanding of compensation analysis,
in addition to the ability to work with highly sensitive and
confidential information.Job Responsibilities Partner with assigned
business unit on compensation related items such a salary
administration, job descriptions, reorganizations and workforce
needs. Serve as the primary resource for salary administration
across the organization. This includes but is not limited to salary
structure design and maintenance, merit planning, pay
recommendations, short term incentive awards, and workforce budget
review. Manage and maintain job descriptions for the organization.
Audit and develop job descriptions reflecting responsibilities,
duties, and requirements. Conduct job evaluations and determine
FLSA exemption status, salary grade assignment, and job worth
hierarchy that is within company and statutory guidelines. Use
published or conduct ad hoc surveys to obtain and analyze market
pay rates. Make recommendations on appropriate pay grade level.
Review recommendations for internal equity. Complete salary
surveys, requests for information, and review best practice to
support decisions and workforce dynamics. Design and administer new
programs and policies to support company objectives, culture and
market dynamics, while maintaining a focus on regulatory and
statutory guidelines. Plan and manage internal projects from the
initiation and development phase to delivery and completion.
Effectively and accurately communicate status to project
stakeholders and team. Utilize software programs, reporting tools,
and databases to review and analyze compensation information which
are used to administer SRP's pay programs.EducationCompletion of a
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the
employee for the assignment.ExperiencePrefer a minimum of 2 years
of Compensation experiencePromotion to Level 2 requires a minimum
of two years experience at Level 1 and demonstrated capability to
perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the
supervisor. Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of 3 years
experience at Level 2, is fully competent in all aspects of
functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a
specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or
occasional lead responsibilities.Additional Information Gathers
data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and
data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.
Research, critical thinking and evaluation skills with the ability
to reason through data findings and develop recommendations. Use
analytics to monitor the effectiveness of compensation plans. Very
strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced knowledge of
excel. Provide guidance to HR Business Partners and managers for
pay actions. Actively participate in the successful implementation
and administration of our short-term and long-term incentive
programs. PHR, SPHR, or CCP preferred.SRP currently offers a hybrid

remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework
up to three days per week. Although part-time teleworking is
available, all employees must live and work in Arizona. We are
