About this role:This role is a Equity Derivatives valuation
specialist within the enterprise-wide center of excellence group
that will be responsible for ensuring accurate valuations of and
performing validation processes across all capital markets
products, including but not limited to derivatives and trading
securities.This role is critical to the success of the Independent
Price Validation (IPV) COE. This person will execute and review the
day to day application of IPV in this space and ensure consistent
application in accordance with firm policy.Wells Fargo is seeking a
Lead Risk Analytics Consultant...In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives related to business analysis and
modeling, including those that are cross functional, with broad
impact, and act as key participant in data aggregation, monitoring,
and reporting of stress testing and portfolio analysis for Risk
Analytics
- Review and analyze complex programing models to extract data
and manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial
modeling specific to businesses supported
- Collaborate and consult with peers, less experienced to more
experienced managers, to resolve production, project, and
regulatory issues, and achieve risk analysts, and common modeling
goals
- Implementation and administration of independent price
validation of derivative instruments in Equity Derivatives.
Covering area products such as: Vanilla Equity Options and
Forwards, Equity Total Return Swaps, Corporate Call Spreads, Equity
Structured Notes, and Structured Equity Derivatives.
- Product expertise in the Equity Derivatives area. Position
location required is C harlotte, NC. Relocation assistance is
available for this position.
Required Qualifications, US:
- 5+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent
demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work
experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of capital markets experienceDesired Qualifications:
- A BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as
applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting,
finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or
business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative
emphasis
- 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the
following: Equity Derivatives Independent Price Verification or
Pricing
- 4+ years of financial services industry experience
- Project management experience
- Python experience
- Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
- Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments with
challenging timelines
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across
all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and
adaptability are important
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
skills
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and
accuracy
- Knowledge of capital markets products, including securities and
derivatives
- Knowledge and understanding of rates, credit, equity,
structured securities and loan products
- Experience in trading, valuing or price validating capital
market instruments
- Excellent communication skills; ability to clearly communicate
with business partners, peers and senior management
- Excellent conceptual and quantitative problem solving skills;
