Job Description:
As a Controller/Finance Director you'll oversee and manage
Planned Parenthood Arizona's financial monitoring systems. This
exciting opportunity will provide comprehensive financial updates
to management by evaluating, analyzing and reporting appropriate
data points. In addition, this position will also present monthly
financial reporting to senior management and supervise accounting,
payroll and purchasing staff.We are looking for someone who can

monthly financial statement closing process including monthly
balance sheet account reconciliations, income statement analysis
and budget to actual analysis for all companiesProtects assets by
establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internet controlsRefines
accounting procedures, systems and controls, which verify the
integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the
agency's valueOversees the activities of the Purchasing Department,
ensuring accurate processing of inventory and fixed
assetsResponsible for month-end close and general ledger
maintenanceOversees disbursement activities, ensuring the accurate
and timely processing of accounts payable, petty cash, employee
expense reports, cash control, and total corporate payroll tax
complianceMonitors cash flow to ensure minimum bank balance
according to policy. Oversees recording and monitoring of cash
receiptsMaintain allocation and amortization schedules per company
policyCoordinates Planned Parenthood's year-end audit process
including assisting in the preparation of financial statements,
work papers, and completion of tax forms as requiredActively
participate in budget preparationComplies with federal, state, and
local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation,
enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and
advising management on needed actionsEnsure bi-weekly payroll is
processed on time and accuratelyWorks with other departments and
staff regarding accounting and budgeting matters, providing quality
customer serviceResponds to the Chief Financial Officer, as
assigned, with accurate and timely work to facilitate the
organization's financial needs and business analysisParticipates in
a wide variety of special projects and compiles a variety of
special reportsConforms with and abides by all regulations,
policies, work procedures and instructionsServe as backup to
Payroll/Benefit Specialist and Purchasing Agent as neededEDI

Finance or Business Administration with an emphasis on Accounting
or equivalent experience3+ Years of experience in finance
department leadership and/or auditing, or equivalent combination of
education and experience with equivalent management experience3+
