LOCATION: CHANDLER, AZ SEEKING: LOCAL CANDIDATES Antenna Technology Communications, Inc. (ATCI) , a division of Evertz Microsystems Ltd, is looking for a Broadcast Engineer Technician (Teleport) to join their growing team BASIC FUNCTION: Maintenance of the systems and compression/distribution platforms for ATCi's Chandler based teleport in addition to other duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: + Serve as onsite engineering. This position plays a critical role by ensuring that critical RF operational systems are maintained and operational. + Install complex systems and equipment according to specifications and standards. + Ability to read schematics, follow manufacturers repair manuals and use digital and analog test equipment. + Ability to work independently and improve existing systems. + Perform regular tests to ensure optimum performance and improve existing systems. + Communicate with global teleport partners regarding signal and transport. + Write and maintain technical documentation in reference to equipment installation and operation. + Lead projects as assigned/needed. + Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: Excellent written, verbal and technical communication skills along with the ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization along with excellent customer relations, customer service, and presentation skills. Position requires demonstrated professionalism, poise, tact and ability to work as a team. SKILLS and ABILITIES: + Must have an understanding of electronic, electrical, computer and mechanical systems. + Thorough knowledge of IP video systems, playout, and OTT video. + Must be able to lift fifty pounds. + Able and willing to work occasionally overnights and weekends. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years of experience as a technician in broadcast or network broadcasting operations or equivalent experience. IP and networking experience is required along with uplink and downlink distribution. Customer service experience is crucial. A Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Computer Science is preferred or equivalent work experience. ABOUT US: ATCi, founded in 1979, offers end-to-end systems integration and technical services.
