Northrop Grumman Space Systems is searching for an experienced Mgr,
Programs 1 "Deputy Chief Engineer" Common Hardware Program to join
the Program Engineering Management team within Launch Vehicles in
Chandler, AZ.
LV CHW is responsible for procurement, assembly and testing of
flight critical components shared across all of the launch vehicle
configurations. CHW Program manages a broad category of components
including Avionics, Actuators, Navigation, Pneumatics, Ordnance, RF
and solid rocket motors.
The CHW Program Engineering (PEM) supports the CHW LV program
manager and chief engineer (CE) in execution of the CHW program.
The PEM also executes project management of internal research and
development (IRAD) for development and qualification of new flight
components. The PEM provides technical leadership of the
multidisciplinary engineering team for efficient, timely and
technically sound solutions.
The PEM also maintains good communications and builds relationship
with the stakeholders such as LV programs, technical operations,
supply chain management customers and various other internal and
external entities, ensures timely completion of customer
deliverables, and leads resolution of significant technical issues.
The ideal candidate has broad knowledge across various engineering
disciplines, familiarity with space flight components/subsystems
and excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written
communication skills and the demonstrated ability to lead
multidisciplinary teams in resolving complex problems are
essential. The PEM also serves as a backup to CHW CE.
Basis Qualifications:
This position requires Bachelor of Science Engineering degree plus
5 years of experience; Masters degree plus 3 years of
experience.
U.S. Citizenship is required
Ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance is required
Ability to travel is required
Salary Range: $103,300 USD - $154,900 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to
base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage,
