Systems - Launch Vehicles Division - Chandler, AZ has a current
opening for a Team Lead - Staff Engineer Guidance Navigation and
Controls.Essential Functions:
- Lead a team of GNC engineers in the design, development and
testing of missions for the GQM 163A (Coyote) Program
- Schedule work required for GNC staff on the Program
- Present design and flight data to GNC management for
review
- Support launch operations for the Program
- Responsible for tracking earned value management system (EVMS)
metrics and writing variance reports for the GNC work on the
Program
- International and domestic travel required for launch
operations and customer supportBasic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology,
Engineering or Math) with 14 years of related engineering
experience; OR a Master's degree in STEM with 12 years of related
engineering experience, or a PhD in STEM with 9 related engineering
experience
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearancePreferred
Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret clearance, or higher
- Master's Degree in STEM
- Experience with IMUs, GPS receivers, and navigation
systems
- Experience with free inertial navigation, merged navigation,
and Kalman filtering
- Familiarity with navigation components and algorithms Salary
Range: $134,700 USD - $202,100 USD Employees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including
