Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Quality Engineer. This position will be located at our Space Systems Sector in Chandler, AZ . The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Launch Vehicles Business. An Associate Quality Engineer Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.Basic QualificationsA candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

• Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
• Be majoring in or having majored in an Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field
• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
• Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) Preferred Qualifications
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.7 out of 4.0 or higher Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
