Job Description:
Position Description: NXP Semiconductors is looking for an IC
CAD Application Engineering, providing best in class support for
the Analog/Mixed-Signal flow and infrastructure. This individual
will support both local and regional IC designers, in the
development of IP and SOC products, across multiple technologies
including FinFet process nodes. Coordinating with other CAD
support, internal flow developments and Process Design Kits (PDK)
teams to deliver new and improved flows, tools and PDK, improving
design teams productivity. The candidate would be located in the
NXP Chandler Arizona location.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support, enhance and maintain design infrastructure for
regional design teams
- Provide direct support on design tools, flows and PDK's
- Coordinate with EDA vendors and internal tool teams, on
training, tracking and resolution of issues
- Develop software utilities to aide in automation of the design
environment
- Create technical documentation on procedures and flows
- Work within a regional and global CAD organization
- Work with multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications:
- Master in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, with 3+
years' experience
- Basic Knowledge of Cadence IC Design Environment - Virtuoso,
ADE Assembler/Explorer/XL, Schematic Editor
- Basic Knowledge with Analog (Spice) Simulator: Spectre/APS,
Mentor-AFS, others
- Knowledge of Debugging design, tools or software
- Strict towards performance and quality requirements
- Demonstrates good analysis and problem-solving skills
- Must have effective interpersonal, teamwork, and communication
skills
- Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast pace
environment.
- Collaborative skills for working efficiently in a team having
local or worldwide connections with partners and users.
- Self-driven and passionate about learning and the industry
- Fluency in English is a must for the reading and writing of
technical documentation as well as interaction with users
throughout NXP worldwide.
- Knowledge in developing : Python, PERL, Cadence SKILL, C, C++,
other based applications in a Unix/Linux environment.
Considered a plus:
- Some experience with training and interacting with
designers
- Some experience working with automation of regression test
sets
- Working Knowledge of IT Hardware and Software: Linux (RedHat)
and Load Sharing Facility (LSF)
