About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer
with significant Automation Engineering experience who enjoys and
thrives on solving complex problems through innovation, solution
design, and impacting change at scale in a diverse environment. You
will join a focused team of engineers working in partnership with
SREs introducing and advancing automation capabilities across
several hundred applications and multiple vertical lines of
business supporting the entire firm. The team will drive technology
transformation and adoption of aligned enterprise capabilities and
products, launch new tooling enablement, automate away complex
issues and integrate with the latest technology. The Automation
Engineer will work closely with Site Reliability and Data
Engineering teams to automate end-to-end solutions that increase
efficiency and advance functional capabilities. Focus on continuous
improvement and operational insight through code, platform and
CI/CD automation are key aspects within a global delivery team In
this role, you will:
- Design and Implement complex and complete custom solutions
aimed at automating and optimizing away toil.
- Assist in training skilled peer and junior engineers by growing
the practice and capability within EFT and partnering with
additional enterprise automation and engineering teams
- Introduce enterprise capabilities, tools, and innovation
improving efficiency in a multi-cloud ecosystem by evolving
automation capabilities, CI/CD integration, introduce continuous
improvement.
- Evolve AIOPS, ChatOps, NoOps introducing self-healing and
autonomic capabilities solving for complex operational and systemic
issues with precision including building and training models,
automating cognitive processes, leveraging Robotic Process
Automation, Unified Communication, and AI/ML to improve
availability of products we provide to customers.
- Proven Technical Expertise with one or more of the
following:
- Software Development: Python, Bash, REST, Micro Services
- Automation Platforms: Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Terraform
- Messaging Technologies like Kafka or MQ
- OS and Platform - Linux super user, Windows, GCP, PCF,
Kubernetes, Azure, VMware
- Cl/CD and Automation: Jenkins, Gitlab, SonarQube, Artifactory,
Ansible Observability and AIOPS: Grafana, Prometheus, ELK or
SPLUNK, Jaeger or Zipkin, AppDynamics or Dynatrace or Geneos
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is desired:
AIOPS: Big Panda, Moogsoft, Artificial Intelligence (Al) and
Machine Learning (ML) Frameworks
- Operations Tools: Service Now, IBM Netcool Required
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent
demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work
experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of Linux/ Unix scripting and automation
experience
- 3+ years of Automation Experience with Ansible (preferred),
Chef, Puppet, Terraform, or Robotics Process Automation
platform
- 3+ years of ability to communicate effectively, in both written
and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders
- 3+ years with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and
Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
- 1+ years with Azure or GCP platforms Desired Qualifications
- AIOPS: Big Panda, Moogsoft, Artificial Intelligence (Al) and
Machine Learning (ML) Framework
- Java/J2EE or additional OOP languages
- Data/Data Structures: SQL, Oracle, DB2, Mongo, Hadoop,
Cloudera, Spank, Teradata
- 3+ years with two or more of Grafana, Prometheus, ELK or
SPLUNK, Jaeger or Zipkin, AppDynamics or Dynatrace or Geneos
- An industry-standard technology certification
- Resiliency patterns
- CI/CD best practices and tooling
- Service Now experience Job Expectations:
- Ability to travel up to 10% per year
- Ability to work in a hybrid office environment - reporting to
Wells Fargo location during certain times and working from
home.
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours, as needed.
Pay Range $133,300.00 - $237,100.00 Annual Benefits
