Job Description:

Assist operations and maintenance in the designs of mechanical & electromechanical products/systems and develop a greater understanding of the production processes.


Primary Duties


Assist in the PM Program to develop and implement preventative maintenance processes - monitoring uptime percentages, investigate repeat mechanical failures, develop strategies to increase uptime

Follow up on progress of work list for each lead mechanic

Focus on machine and process improvements - lean system, MCI

Perform engineering assignments related to design and analysis for packaging equipment and line systems

Provide support to keep equipment operational by being involved in maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures

Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information

Become familiar with Top 10 reporting and providing support in reporting data to the Group

Fully understands the production processes, knowledge of raw material, quality control, costs, machine functions and capabilities in order to maximize the effective manufacture of the end product

Develops knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote Health & Safety for the protection of people and property

May be assigned to other projects and duties

Requirements:

Job Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar

Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD

Must be able to read, write and speak in English

Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Good interpersonal & communication skills

Highly organized, detail orientated and self-motivated individual (proactive attitude)

Ability to work in fast-paced environment, learn quickly and follow established processes

Self-motivated and committed individual

Strong work ethic
