Job Description: Contractor Type: Head down, gets the job done. Most interaction will be with design engineers but they won't need to present at design reviews or anything like that. Experienced PWB designer to design/layout printed wiring boards (PWBs) for military/aerospace avionics and test applications. Experience level would be intermediate to senior level (someone who can come up to speed relatively quickly. Requirements: - Minimum 5 years recent PWB design layout experience with Cadence Allegro design tool suite; - Experience with high density complex, multilayer boards (6-16 layers); - Experience with layout of analog and digital circuits; - Experience with layout/routing of high speed digital and controlled-impedance circuits; - Experience with rigid-flex; - Ability to prepare artwork (ODB , Gerber) for fabrication of PWBs; - Extensive experience with footprint/symbol creation and library management; - Understanding of IPC-2221 and IPC-7351 specifications; - AA/AS degree or other 2-year post high school training with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; Can be substituted with years of experience. - Ability to acquire security clearance. Preferred: - Experience with OrCad Layout and Mentor PADS or Xpedition tool suite; - Understanding of Printed Wiring Assembly manufacturing process; - Experience with CAM350 DFM software; Looking for candidates who are available to work full time on site at our facility in Chandler, AZ. A mixed work schedule (on-site plus remote work) may be considered after a trial period. The designer will receive circuit schematics and board outline information from the circuit designers and will need to create the PWB layouts to create a manufacturable circuit assembly. "Nice to have skills " Experience with layout of high power circuits. Comments for Suppliers: We are looking for candidates who are available to work full time on site at our facility in Chandler, AZ.
