Job Description:
A company is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer (DB2 / CICS
Systems Programmer) who is remote eligible.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor mainframe system hardware/software for performance
degradation, connectivity issues, and system events
Participate in pager rotation to provide 24x7 support for Mainframe
Systems
Plan and perform scheduled changes for hardware and software
supporting the mainframe infrastructure
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics,
Information Security, Information Technology, or related field
3+ years of experience in (Software) Engineering, DevOps, or
related field
Technical proficiency rating of competent on the Dreyfus
engineering scale for internal applicants
Experience in Mainframe Engineering, Unix/Linux Administration,
Database Systems, or related
Knowledge of Mainframe technologies such as CICS, MQ, DB2, Parallel
Sysplex, JCL, and others
