Job Description:
Our client, a leading aerospace industry organization, is
seeking a Materials Engineer Castings Forgings Metallurgy to join
their team. As a Materials Engineer Castings Forgings Metallurgy,
you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting product
development and innovation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate
strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and
collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the
organization. Job Title: Sr Mechanical Design Engineer Location:
Tempe, AZ Pay Range: $45-$51.40/hr DOE plus OT, benefits What's the
Job? Provide technical expertise and support in materials and
process engineering for cast and/or forged aerospace products.
Collaborate across engineering teams to develop solutions that meet
customer needs and industry standards. Participate in all phases of
product development, from design to manufacturing, ensuring quality
and compliance. Engage with suppliers to resolve issues related to
materials and processes, including conducting supplier audits when
necessary. Support new and existing cast/forged products, including
aerospace gas turbine engines used for propulsion and auxiliary
power. What's Needed? Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field such as
Materials Science, Metallurgy, Aerospace, or Mechanical
Engineering. Experience in materials or process engineering within
casting, forging, heat treatment, or related metallurgical
environments. Exposure to aluminum, steel, titanium, or nickel
alloys (hands-on experience preferred but not required).
Familiarity with industry standards such as Nadcap or aerospace
material specifications (nice to have). Ability to troubleshoot
material or process issues and communicate technical solutions
