excellent opportunity exists within the Land & Air Defense Systems
(L&ADS) Estimating organization. In this estimating
organization, the employee will be responsible for the preparation
of various types of proposals for development, production and
competitive contracts including modifications to existing
contracts. In addition, the estimating organization supports gate
reviews, government audits and negotiations with the customer. What
You Will Do Support the development and understanding of proposals
Work with functions from across the company to develop the labor,
material and other direct costs associated with proposed contracts
Utilize company estimating and pricing programs and tools Develop
detailed bidding guidelines which are used to kick off proposals
Provide estimating support for the development of Basis of
Estimates to include validating and analyzing actuals, ensuring
consistency within task descriptions, and confirming estimating
approach is sound Prepare and present limited complexity Submit
Gate charts for program/company leadership review of proposal
information Ensure proposals comply with basic FAR and internal
requirements Assess and formulate potential solutions leading to a
thorough proposal submittal Ability and willingness to gain special
access clearance to work activities as appropriate. Qualifications
You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5
years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related
field and a minimum of 3 years experience Experience with Microsoft
Office products, ex. Microsoft Excel (i.e., basic formulas, lookup
functions, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, etc.) U.S. citizenship
is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access
information under this program/contract Qualifications We Prefer
Possess good investigative/analytical abilities Strong organization
skills Demonstrated ability to consistently meeting deadlines in a
schedule driven environment Effective planning and scheduling
skills that lead to the completion of proposal efforts in
accordance with customer and company requirements The ability to
work well in teams, with peers and management Oral and written
communication skills The ability to follow and apply internal and
external regulations to the development of company proposals Basic
working knowledge of the RTN pricing tool, ProPricer, is desired
but not required Must have strong verbal and written communication
skills, as well as the ability to interact with senior levels of
management and customer organizations Active Secret Clearance is a

role. Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work
primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance
employees, as they are essential to the development of our
products. As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring

remote. The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.
The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative
of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when
extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role,
function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work
experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as
well as whether or not the position is covered by a

it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under
these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a
variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual
performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s
performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful
candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay
structure and benefits will apply. RTX anticipates the application
