Role Description & Responsibilities: Provide daily/weekly/monthly support of launch-site Quality Assurance department responsibilities ---Provide support for various documentation requirements including transfer of information from build paperwork and on-site records to company databases. ---Candidate interfaces with various levels of technical personnel to ensure their understanding of inspection/documentation results. ---Prepares inspection reports and maintains inspection records. ---Enters, maintains and extracts vehicle configuration support data via a computerized database system. ---Provide QA-methods guidance to engineering and design personnel. ---Helps in the daily housekeeping of the office area and equipment to comply with Foreign Object Debris control requirements, and other duties as directed by management. This position requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking and the ability to lift and carry 20 lbs for short distances. Regular overtime past the normal 40 hour week may be required. QualificationsBasic Qualifications: Minimum Education / Experience: High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experienceCandidate should have a minimum of two years of related experience including recent experience in an office environment dealing with the inspection of complex aerospace electro-mechanical and propulsion systems and their detail components in an ISO9001 or AS9100 compliant environmentMust understand mechanical and propulsion aerospace engineering drawings and specifications and support physical inspection methods and equipment to determine compliance of items to design requirementsCandidate must possess the personal skills to interact with various levels of a technical organization and be able to work independently as well as part of a teamRead and understand schematics, assembly drawings, inspection drawings or any other type of referenced material required to perform inspection tasksAbility to obtain a secret clearance Preferred Qualifications: Ideal Candidate will be familiar with aerospace mechanical and electronic systems and subsystemsExperience with configuration management, inspection/validation methods of electro-mechanical assembles, cable assemblies, and ordinance devicesMinimum 2 (two) years experience in office administration including reports for inspection activities such as: In-Process, Final and First ArticleFamiliarity with industry standards e.g. IPC-A-620 or equivalent, IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 Experience using material and nonconformance databases, Microsoft Word and excelNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
