Internal Audit is a provider of independent, objective assurance services delivered through a highly competent and diverse team. As a business partner, Audit helps the company accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
The CB/CIB Data Innovation and Analytics team transforms data-driven audits through innovation and optimization by independently and objectively providing a more continuous, complete and collaborative audit approach.
Specific Duties:
The Audit Manager supervises integrated audit projects in the use of data analytics as directed by senior management generally for multiple projects or audit engagements and may also participate in audits generally as data analytic subject matter expert in a consulting capacity.
The Audit Manager:
Supervises or oversees multiple concurrent projects.
Facilitating the identification of opportunities to utilize data analysis in the assessment of risk and controls.
Navigating within large complex technology environments to locate, validate, extract, and format data for data analysis testing.
Partnering with assigned audit teams to build expertise in the use of data analysis within the internal audit function.
Identifies and assesses key risks and controls and designs audit coverage across an auditable activity with limited guidance.
Effectively documenting the analysis in accordance with audit policy.
Training and mentoring audit teams in the use of data analysis and data analysis tools.
Foster a safe, ethical environment where team members feel comfortable sharing ideas and opinions, raising concerns, and escalating risks.
Provides timely feedback, coaching and monitoring of audit work and staff.
Develops and maintains strong business relationships within Audit and with teams across WF and other stakeholders.
Ensures audit engagements are risk-based, and executed according to Audit policies and guidance.

Salary range is determined by the location of the job.
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: audit, control testing, control and risk identification, or audit analysis demonstrated through work or military experience

Desired Qualifications
Experience at a financial institution or accounting firm
A BS/BA degree or higher
Solid knowledge and understanding of audit or risk methodologies and supporting tools
Understanding of financial regulatory environment
Certification in one or more of the following: CPA, CAMS, CRCM, CIA, CISA or Commissioned Bank Examiner designation
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
Solid problem solving skills
Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
Ability to develop operational reporting and performing complex data analysis

Ability to lead projects/initiatives with high risk and complexity
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Certifications in analytics space:
SAS Certified Big Data Professional
SAS Certified Data Scientist
Certification of Professional Achievement in Data Sciences
Certified Analytics Professional
Data Mining and Applications Graduate Certificate (university specific)
Experience in data processing, database programming, and/or data analytics.
SQL, SAS, or ACL programming experience including automation solutions of medium to high technical complexity.
Knowledge of Wells Fargo businesses, systems of record, and data warehouses.

Job Expectations
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
