As a business partner, Audit helps the company accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.Internal Audit is separated into individual audit teams specializing in a line of business, risk type or coverage area. -- -This position will be a part of our Chief Operating Office Customer Remediation (primarily Consumer & Small Business Banking and Consumer Lending).The COO Customer Remediation audit team is part of the third line of defense and conducts remediation validation primarily for Consumer & Small Business Banking and Consumer Lending lines of business. COO implements a Remediation Coverage Program driving remediation validation efforts for regulatory findings across Audit. Throughout remediation activities, our vision is to provide perspective, influence, and challenge regarding the company's governance, risk management, and execution of remediations. -- -Specific Duties:The Audit Manager supervises integrated audit projects in the use of data analytics as directed by senior management generally for multiple projects or audit engagements and may also participate in audits generally as data analytic subject matter expert in a consulting capacity.The Audit Manager: Supervises or oversees multiple concurrent projects. Facilitating the identification of opportunities to utilize data analysis in the assessment of risk and controls. Navigating within large complex technology environments to locate, validate, extract, and format data for data analysis testing. Partnering with assigned audit teams to build expertise in the use of data analysis within the internal audit function. Identifies and assesses key risks and controls and designs audit coverage across an auditable activity with limited guidance. Effectively documenting the analysis in accordance with audit policy. Training and mentoring audit teams in the use of data analysis and data analysis tools.Audit Managers demonstrate depth and breadth of knowledge that includes technology, operational, financial, and regulatory understanding across multiple businesses and may develop knowledge in a critical subject matter area.They also may execute limited managerial duties under the direction and oversight of the Senior Audit Manager, including: Manages defined audits within one or more segments of the Audit Plan. Accountable for supervision and oversight of assigned audits. Provides timely feedback, coaching and monitoring of audit work and staff. Develops and maintains strong business relationships within Audit and with teams across WF and other stakeholders. Ensures audit engagements are risk-based and executed according to Audit policies and guidance.Salary range is determined by the location of the job.Area 2: $98,000 -- - Mid: $140,000 -- -Max: $182,000May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards.Required Qualifications7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: audit, control testing, control and risk identification, or audit analysis demonstrated through work or military experienceDesired QualificationsExperience at a financial institution or accounting firmA BS/BA degree or higherSolid knowledge and understanding of audit or risk methodologies and supporting toolsUnderstanding of financial regulatory environmentCertification in one or more of the following: CPA, CAMS, CRCM, CIA, CISA or Commissioned Bank Examiner designationExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are importantAbility to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple prioritiesSolid problem solving skillsGood analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracyOther Desired Qualifications 7+ years SQL or SAS programming experience including automation solutions of medium to high technical complexity. Ability to lead projects/initiatives with high risk and complexity Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Experience in data processing, database programming, and/or data analytics. SQL, SAS, or ACL programming experience including automation solutions of medium to high technical complexity.
