It all begins with you.About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Control Management Senior Manager as part of the Cards & Merchant Services Control Team.In this role, you will:Manage and develop a team of managers, experienced officers, and officers in roles with moderate complexity and risk in accomplishing goals and priorities associated with the functional areaLead specific coverage within Cards & Merchant Services (CMS) providing direct support for the Retail, Cobrand and Branch businesses. -Engage and influence corporate heads, business heads, legal, audit, regulators, and industry partners associated with the function, or who are affected by its outcomesIdentify and recommend Business Controls opportunities for process improvement and risk control development by managing and directing teams on strategy and execution of activitiesDetermine appropriate strategies and actions of Business Controls functional area to meet moderate to high risk deliverables by ensuring that all business risk issues are proactively identified and addressed appropriatelyInterpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with moderate complexity within defined scope of responsibilityCollaborate with and influence key stakeholders including managersInteract directly with relevant business groupsManage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and aligned with strategic objectives in Business Controls functional areaDevelop and guide a culture of Business Controls talent development to meet business objectives and strategiesRequired Qualifications, US:6+ years of Risk Management or Business Controls experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education3+ years of Management experienceDesired Qualifications:Knowledge of the credit card business including CoBrand, Retail and Branch businessesExperience with large-scale process transformation initiativesAbility to consult, build, and maintain solid working relationships in and outside of immediate departmentExcellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audienceAbility to manage initiatives involving process improvementsExperience mapping business processesAbility to identify and evaluate exposures and potential risks; ability to provide credible challenge to the business and adapt quickly through research and analysisHands on style; proven ability to execute and achieve targeted results and develop and manage associated goals and plans on time and with high qualityStrong leadership skills with the ability to interact and lead complex discussions comfortably with senior levels of managementKnowledge and understanding of financial controls and riskConsumer lending experienceA BS/BA degree or higherJob Expectations:Ability to travel up to 10% of the timeWe Value DiversityAt Wells Fargo, we believe in diversity and inclusion in the workplace; accordingly, we welcome applications for employment from all qualified candidates, regardless of race, color, gender, national origin, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, individuals with disabilities, pregnancy, marital status, status as a protected veteran or any other status protected by applicable law.Employees support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company.
