About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Director to
join The Technology Enablement & Pipeline (TE&P) team within
the Chief Technology Office (CTO) is responsible for product
ownership, engineering & delivery, and operational support of the
Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline,
products and solutions. Our vision is to provide a superior
Developer Experience by delivering a CI/CD pipeline that can
routinely and predictably build and deploy reliable and performant
software while enabling speed to market in a safe and sustainable
way.We are hiring a Technology Director to lead the Operations
group within the TE&P organization reporting directly to the
TE&P CIO. This position will be responsible for leading and
managing resources who are engaged in Level 2/3 support across the
suite of CICD tools, as well as, leading the Platform Support team.
As a senior leader in the TE&P organization, this position is
also responsible for helping drive the future direction of the
Developer Experience, including the CICD pipeline and solutions and
deployment to the cloud.In this role, you will:Manage a team of
engineering managers and engineering leadsFocus on delivering
commitments aligned to enterprise strategic prioritiesBuild support
for strategies with business and technology leadersGuide
development of actionable roadmaps and plansIdentify opportunities
and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering
practicesProvide oversight to software craftsmanship, security,
availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by
the teams or third party providersIdentify financial management and
strategic resourcingSet risk management guidelines and partner with
stakeholders to implement key risk initiativesDevelop strategies
for hiring engineering talentLead implementation of projects and
encourage engineering innovationCollaborate and influence all
levels of professionals including more experienced managersLead
team to achieve objectivesInterface with external agencies,
regulatory bodies or industry forumsManage allocation of people and
financial resources for Technology Strategic LeadershipDevelop and
guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives
and strategyKey Responsibilities Include: Manage a US-based team of
100+ Technology Operations and Platform Managers and Engineers
including full-time, managed resources, and non-managed resources
in an agile environment. Provide operational oversight for a
similar sized India-based organization.Manage allocation of people
and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align
with strategic objectives in technology operationsOrchestrate
frontline support for 2000+ applications that run on the CICD
pipeline, comprising -the CI/CD product service offering (GitHub,
Jenkins, TFS, Artifactory, Urban Code Deploy, Sonar, CheckMarx,
BlackDuck). -Drive key strategic initiatives associated with
infrastructure availabilityResponsible for maintaining Platform
Service and Availability on which the tools run. - - -Work with IT
risk management, compliance and all lines of defense, including
Audit, to ensure platform risks are proactively managedIdentify and
recommend opportunities for technology operations process
improvement and development, owning service optimization and
continued SLA improvement. This includes responsibility for Support
Ticket Analysis activities and outcomes that lead to ticket
avoidance for all of TE&P Operations.Lead with engineering
mindset and apply that skill and knowledge to daily
operations.Engage in TE&P CI/CD product strategy development
and subsequent implementation of roadmap, ensuring inclusion of
non-functional requirements and production readiness.Partner and
influence TE&P product and engineering teams to ensure
effective solution analysis, prioritization and backlog management,
development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of features
specific to Operational support.Collaborate with and influence all
Line of Business (LOB) CIOS and application engineering teams for
delivery of all TE&P services and capabilitiesLeverage metrics
to support infrastructure associated with applications that are
highly automated, and latency sensitive, client facing and internal
applications consumed by the BusinessManage backups, recovery and
ensure recovery includes periodic tests to ensure business
continuityRequired Qualifications, US:8+ years of Technology
Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through
one or a combination of the following: work experience, training,
military experience, education4+ years of Management
experienceDesired Qualifications:4+ years of Agile experience3+
years of experience with secure DevOps and deployment automation to
cloud environmentsFirsthand experience in application
developmentKnowledge and understanding of system development,
system lifecycle development, system architecture and
hardwareAbility to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement
solutions, and influence changeProven ability to organize,
coordinate, motivate, and lead a large team of managers and
engineers across varying time zoneEffectively able to partner with,
and guide, offshore resources either directly or indirectly (via
offshore management team)Superior client communication skills
needed to manage high numbers of concurrent escalations directly,
and through activating resources.Thorough sense/understanding of
prioritization between clients, resources, and management to
effectively handle daily operations.Ability to effectively
