What you'll do:
The Director of Commercial Finance will assist the Vice President of Finance with analysis and reporting on: Revenue, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and Gross Profit (GP). The candidate will be a highly analytical individual and have the ability to partner and collaboratewith the sales and supply chain teams with the daily operations of the company and help with strategic decision making. The Director of Commercial Finance will also lead the preparation of sales and volume forecasts including Short Range Outlooks (SROs), reoccurring forecast cycles, and the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). The position will be responsible with owning the financial functions of quotation systems and the ongoing development of financial reporting process and systems related to Revenue, COGS, and GP. More specifically this role will:

• Lead the CommercialFinance team with Revenueand COGS forecasts for SROs Formalized Forecasts, and the AOP
  
• Own processes around reporting of monthly/quarterly financial close results on product revenue, COGS, and GP
  
• Direct ad-hoc analysis and reporting on portfolio revenue and profitability by region, customer, and product
  
• Partner with the company's businessleaders helping make data and financially driven business decisions
  
• Help manage quoting and portfolio risk through on-going assessment of portfoliohealth and profitability
  
• Identify and direct the team in developing better process and reporting improvement initiatives
  
• Lead and direct various ad-hoc analyses and modeling on other financial matters
  
• Hire, develop, and mentor team members in commercial finance
  
• Other duties as assigned
  
  The qualifications you must have:
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor of Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
    
  • 7+ years of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling experience
    
  • 3+ years of experience in a Finance Leadership role leading financial processes and finance teams
    
  • Intermediate to advanced competence with COGS concepts such as product costing, inventory, and logistics
    
  • Financial model creation and development
    
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel
    
  • Familiarity with US GAAP Accounting and Financial concepts
    
  • Strong critical thinking skills
    
    Our preferred qualifications:
    
    • 
      
    • CMA, CPA, or CFA are preferred but not required
      
    • Experience with SAP and Sales Force
      
    • Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities
