Quality Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Chandler, Arizona.Job Description & Requirements

• Employment Type: Travel**Must be able to read strips **Must be able to read strips **COVID vaccine is required, or religious or medical declination form (with appropriate documentation). **Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (with 2 max attempts). **There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation (study guides will be provided with first day instructions. - Unit: MedSurg C5 - # beds: 32 beds. Ortho, Surgical, Oncology - Certs: BLS, ACLS - Ratios: 1:4 ratio days and nights. - Charge Nurse: Yes, does not take patients. Also has Unit Supervisor. - Nurse Aides: PCTs on days. 1 PCT or Task RN at night. - Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts per 4 week period (days - Sat, Sun, nights - Fri, Sat). One major and minor holiday. - Scrub Color: Navy - Tele: GE Monitors. Central monitoring station tech to read. - Vents: NA - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Must call Physician. - IV Team: No. House SWAT Nurse available for hard IV sticks. - RT 24/7: Yes - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, ICU Pharmacist covers on days. - Shifts: 12 hrs. 7-7. - Floating: Float to MedSurg Tele B2C and B2D - Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts on the floor. - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: 80% Surgical, 20% Oncology. Ortho - JHACO certified knee and hip program. 8-10 elective knee/hips per week. Other - Urological, Abdominal, Whipple, Women's surgeries (no OBGyn). - Additional Notes: Spectralink phones (call light attached to phone) **Medical-Surgical B2C** - Unit: MedSurg B2C - # beds: 29 beds - Certs: BLS, ACLS - Ratios: 1:4 ratio, days and nights - Charge Nurse: Yes, does not take patients. Also has Unit Supervisor. - Nurse Aides: PCTS on days. 1 PCT or SWAT RN at night to task. - Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts per 4 week period (days - Sat, Sun, nights - Fri, Sat). One major and minor holiday. - Scrub Color: Navy - Tele: GE Monitors. Central monitoring station tech to read. - Vents: NA - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Must call Physician. - IV Team: No. House SWAT Nurse available for hard IV sticks. - RT 24/7: Yes - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, ICU Pharmacist covers on days. - Shifts: 12 hrs. 7-7. - Floating: Float to MedSurg Tele C5 and B2D - Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts on the floor. - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: General MedSurg patients that require tele. Amio, Cardizem to titrate down only. - Additional Notes: Spectralink phones (call light attached to phone). Is the "new grad training unit", all new grads train with a "clinical scholar" for 4 weeks. Each week patient load increases to 1:4 final week. **Medical-Surgical B2D** - Unit: MedSurg B2D - # beds: 30 beds - Certs: BLS, ACLS - Ratios: 1:4 ratio, days and nights - Charge Nurse: Yes, does not take patients. Also has Unit Supervisor. - Nurse Aides: PCTs on days. 1 PCT or SWAT RN at night to task. - Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts per 4 week period (days - Sat, Sun, nights - Fri, Sat). One major and minor holiday. - Scrub Color: Navy - Tele: GE Monitors. Central monitoring station tech to read. - Vents: CPAP possible. - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Must call Physician. - IV Team: No. House SWAT Nurse available for hard IV sticks. - RT 24/7: Yes - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, ICU Pharmacist covers on days. - Shifts: 12 hrs. 7-7. - Floating: Float to MedSurg Tele C5 and B2C - Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts on the floor. - Common diagnosis / Types of patients General and Ortho trauma stepdown unit. Chest tubes, drains, wound vacs. Little to no traction patients. Amio, Cardizem to titrate down only. Peritoneal dialysis patients on floor but contract dialysis handles. - Additional Notes: 1:1 PCT sitters utilized for confused patients and soft restraints for line pulling.
