Responsibilities

Job Summary:

Provide preventive and therapeutic clinical services, oral health education, and referral/care coordinator services for the Dignity Health Children's Dental Clinic and Community Screening program. Has the responsibilities of administrative duties, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, professional advisement and support to the department, and coordinating and instructing dental hygiene students.

Qualifications

Minimum

* Graduate of an accredited school for dental hygiene.


* Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene, public health, health promotion, health science or in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.


* Five years clinical dental hygiene experience.


* Experience working with underserved populations.


* CT DENTHYG;CT CPRBLS


* Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with a variety of community partners; high degree of initiative and problem solving ability; ability to exercise judgment, make independent



Preferred

* Experience working with children, experience working in public health settings; experience working independently as an Affiliated Practice hygienist; one year experience as a dental hygiene instructor.
