Job Description:

Applicant must have experience working in a hospital setting within Patient Registration or Medical Office Registration. This is a fast paced working environment. Applicant must understand and comply with Federal and Local State regulations including HIPAA and EMTALA. This position requires extensive and in-depth interaction with patients, co-workers, insurance companies, government and state entities and other hospital personnel.

The Registrar position requires flexibility. Applicant must have good customer service skills as well.

Key Details of this Position are:

? Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)

? Obtain Benefit and Insurance Verification

? Point of Service Cash Collections, Co-pays, Deductibles and Coinsurance

? Knowledge of Medical Terminology

? Obtain Consent for Medical Treatment and other Compliance as necessary

? Accurate Computer Data Entry

? Scanning

? Register and Pre-Register Patients for Emergency, Elective and Scheduled Cases

? Work with various systems including the Patient Registration and Electronic Medical Record
