hours (0600-1830) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Strong experience in
orthopedics Scrubbing experience preferred Charge nurse experience
is a plus Description: Unit consists of 3 OR suites. Average number
of cases per day is 10-12. Common cases include orthopedics,
podiatry, pain management, breast, GYN, and general surgery, with
occasional urology. Weekday and weekend call requirements are to be
expected. Minimum call requirements include 4 weekdays, 1 Friday,
and 1 weekend (Saturday/Sunday) per six weeks. Holiday call
requirements include a minimum of two holidays per year. Call
response time is 30 minutes. Floating may be required to other
campus locations based on needs. Scrub color is navy blue, and
hospital scrubs are required. Unit-specific orientation will be
provided, time dependent on the number of years of experience.
Cancellation policy allows for 4 shifts per contract, or 3 shifts
if the contract is under 13 weeks. Charting system utilized is
Cerner.
