qualified Telemetry RN in Chandler, Arizona, 85224! Pay Information
$2,071 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13
weeks Shift: 12-hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the past
6 months License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS - AHA
or APEX Must-Have: Telemetry skills with a strong cardiac
background Description: This is a telemetry position requiring
telemetry skills. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of
recent nursing experience. Travelers will need to pass a
dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving an offer. There is a
pass/fail simulation lab on the first day of orientation. Study
guides will be provided with first-day instructions. The unit has
60 ED beds. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 to 4. Required
certifications include BLS and ACLS. Common diagnoses involve ED
holds waiting for placement in a medical surgical/telemetry unit.
Experience should emphasize a strong cardiac telemetry background.
Nurses will be responsible for titrating cardiac drips per
physicians' orders and parameters. Nurses will be caring for more
telemetry patients compared to medical patients. RNs will need to
read and interpret telemetry strips. There are no monitor techs in
the unit. Shifts are 12 hours, either 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. – 7
a.m. Ability to self-schedule is available, but may change over
time. There is a requirement to work 4 weekend shifts within a
4-week schedule. Holidays must be rotated in with permanent staff.
There is no call requirement. Nurses may float to
medical/surgical/telemetry/overflow units as needed. Scrub color is
navy. Nurses may be asked to assist with ED patients, including
taking vitals, starting IVs, and administering medications. Nurses
will not be assigned as the primary RN for ED patients. The
hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment.
