Job Description:
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified Telemetry RN in Chandler, Arizona, 85224! Pay Information
$2,169 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse -
Telemetry Float Pool Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry
Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours
per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: BSN Required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Travelers must be able
to titrate cardiac drips. Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia
exam prior to signing the contract (2 maximum attempts). Failure to
pass the dysrhythmia exam will result in a Do Not Use status for 6
months. There will also be a pass/fail Sim Lab on the first day of
orientation. Failure in the Sim Lab will also result in a Do Not
Use status for 6 months. Travelers will float between all telemetry
and medical-surgical units. Floating is required, which may include
ICU and all telemetry units. Nurses may float to various areas such
as the Cath Lab, ER, observation floor, or other holding areas.
Notification of campus and unit assignment will be given 1.5 hours
prior to shift start. Floating to different units mid-shift may
happen. There may be rare instances of floating to a different
campus within a single shift. The distance between campuses is
approximately 9 miles. Travel time may take around 15 minutes
depending on traffic. Common duties may include: Unit: CV Tele - 32
beds, ratios of 1:3-4. Charge Nurse present with no patient
assignment. Clinical Supervisors in a management role. Techs
available as patient care technicians. Weekend requirement: every
other weekend. Scrub color: Navy. Centralized telemetry monitoring.
Ability to interpret EKGs is required. Common diagnoses include
post-cath lab, post-vascular procedures, and general telemetry
patients. Medications may include Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitro,
Heparin, and Dobutamine. For the Neuro unit: Unit: 28 beds, ratios
of 1:3-4. Charge Nurse present with no patient assignment. Common
diagnoses include post-surgical neuro patients, post-craniotomy,
spine, and CVAs post-TPA. For the Medical-Surgical unit: Unit: 32
beds, ratios of 1:4, charge nurse present. Common diagnoses include
ortho, surgical, oncology patients. Weekend requirement: four
weekends per four-week period. Scrub color: Navy. Common
medications may include Amiodarone, Cardizem. Travel nurses must
have strong clinical skills and flexibility to meet the demands of
varying unit needs. Floating between units during shifts is an
integral part of the position. All candidates must have the ability
