Unit POSITION REQUIRES TELE EXPERIENCECannot live within 50 miles
of the facility. Must provide current driver's license upon
submitting.Minimum 2 years of experience - must be recent, within
the past 6 months. Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam
prior to start (WITH 2 MAX ATTEMPTS), within 48 hours of offer. If
they fail, they will be made a DNU for 6 months for both CSH AZ and
CSH Sac regions.There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of
orientation. If they fail, they will be made a DNU for 6
months.MUST BE ABLE TO READ STRIPS & DUE TO FLOATING TO TELE UNITS,
MUST BE ABLE TO TITRATE DOWN ONLY: AMIO & CARDIZEM- Unit: MedSurg
A3 (formerly C5) - beds: 32 beds. Ortho, Surgical, Oncology- Certs:
BLS, ACLS- Ratios: 1:4 ratio days and nights.- Charge Nurse: Yes,
does not take patients. Also has Unit Supervisor.- Nurse Aides:
PCTs on days. 1 PCT or Task RN at night.- Weekend Requirement: 4
weekend shifts per 4 week period (days - Sat, Sun, nights - Fri,
Sat). One major and minor holiday. - Scrub Color: Navy- Tele: GE
Monitors. Central monitoring station tech to read.- Vents: NA-
Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Must call Physician.- IV Team:
No. House SWAT Nurse available for hard IV sticks.- RT 24/7: Yes -
Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, ICU Pharmacist covers on days.- Shifts: 12 hrs.
7-7.- Floating: Float to MedSurg Tele B2C and B2D- Floor specific
orientation: 2 shifts on the floor.- Common diagnosis / Types of
patients: 80% Surgical, 20% Oncology. Ortho - JHACO certified knee
and hip program. 8-10 elective knee/hips per week. Other -
Urological, Abdominal, Whipple, Women's surgeries (no OBGyn). -
Additional Notes: Spectralink phones (call light attached to phone)
Cancellation can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3
shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting BSN
License to Trauma Level:1 Care Shift Notes:4 weekend shifts/4 week
