ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Chandler, Arizona. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/15/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Must have 3 years of recent ICU experience with either neuro or cardiovascular experience required • Work in either Surgical ICU (Trauma Neuro Surgery) with 32 beds or Medical ICU (Medical Cardiac Overflow) with 36 medical cardiac beds plus 12 overflow beds • Nurse to patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on patient acuity • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS • UNA Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance with maximum 2 attempts allowed • Pass/fail Simulation Lab required on Day 1 of orientation • Must be able to titrate multiple drips including Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, Precedex, Levophed, Vasopressin, Cardene, Labetalol, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Heparin, and Insulin • Responsible for interpreting own telemetry strips using GE monitors • Self-scheduling with manager balancing for unit needs • Weekend requirement: 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule (night shift weekends are Friday-Saturday, day shift weekends are Saturday-Sunday) • May have 1 holiday off per assignment • Float to telemetry unit with 1:3 or 1:4 ratio as needed • Must float between all 3 ICUs as needed • Navy scrubs required • 1-2 days unit-specific orientation • May be low censused up to 3 times per contract depending on unit needs • Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment • Charting system: Cerner • Care for Level 1 trauma patients, falls, GSW, blunt trauma, MVAs, sepsis, COVID, ARDS, cardiovascular surgeries, and specialty neurosurgery cases Facility: This facility is a Level 1 trauma center featuring multiple intensive care units including a 32-bed Surgical ICU specializing in trauma and neurosurgery, a 36-bed Medical Cardiac ICU, and a 12-bed overflow unit. The facility provides 24/7 intensivist and respiratory therapy coverage, utilizing advanced ventilator equipment including Dreager, Hamilton, and Puritan Bennett models.
