Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Fetal Echocardiography - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 12 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job description: Job Title - Fetal Echo Tech Unit - Peds Duration -12 Weeks Shift -AM (08:00 - 17:00), 5 X 8s • 40 hrs / Week, 8 hrs Location - Tucson, AZ Position Summary: The Pediatric Echo Technician (Pediatric Echocardiography Technologist) is responsible for performing specialized cardiac ultrasound procedures on infants, children, and adolescents to evaluate heart structure and function. This role works closely with pediatric cardiologists and the healthcare team to obtain high-quality diagnostic images that assist in the detection and monitoring of congenital and acquired heart conditions. Job Duties: - Perform high-quality pediatric transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) on neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. - Assist cardiologists with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and other advanced cardiac imaging procedures as needed. - Obtain accurate cardiac measurements, Doppler studies, and imaging views to assess congenital and acquired heart defects. - Recognize abnormal findings and promptly communicate urgent results to the pediatric cardiologist or provider. Note: 2 years of Peds Echo Tech Experience Requirements: - Experience: 2 years - ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer - Pediatric (RDCS PE) or CCI Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS). Required - ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer - Fetal (RDCS FE) or (RDMS FE) Required - Current BLS for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association.
