ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Chandler, Arizona. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Minimum every other weekend required (could work up to 3 weekends per month) • First to float when needed • 3 years of recent ICU experience required with either neuro or cardiovascular experience • Work in 32-bed Surgical ICU handling trauma, neuro surgery cases, or 36-bed Medical Cardiac ICU plus 12-bed overflow unit • Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on patient acuity • Required to titrate multiple drips including propofol, fentanyl, versed, precedex, levophed, vasopressin, and others • Must interpret own telemetry strips using GE monitors • Float to telemetry unit with 1:3 or 1:4 ratio as needed • Float between all 3 ICU units as needed • Self-scheduling available with manager balancing for unit needs • 3 weekend shifts required in a 4-week schedule • Night shift weekends are Friday-Saturday, day shift weekends are Saturday-Sunday • May have 1 holiday off per assignment • May be low censused up to 3 times per contract depending on unit needs • Navy scrubs required • 1-2 days unit-specific orientation • UNA Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance with maximum 2 attempts • Pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS • Cerner charting system • Must live more than 50 miles from facility • Cannot have worked for CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities within past year Facility: This facility operates as a Level 1 trauma center with comprehensive ICU services including surgical trauma, neurosurgical, and medical cardiac intensive care units.
