About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Lead Ansible Automation Engineer) to be part of a team automating failover activities related Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery playbook orchestration and failover automation. This position requires expertise utilizing Ansible and Ansible Tower for application automation.In this role, you will:The role will drive the planning, design, construction, testing, and implementation of application automation failover solutions. The candidate will play a critical role in the automation capability within the Resiliency Solutions portfolio and will engage key resiliency stakeholders involved in activities such as Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises/tests, and cyber resiliency.

• Drive the planning, design, construction, testing, and implementation of automation solutions.
• Engage with development team; facilitate discussions, provide clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; and contribute to design activities and decisions.
• Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
• Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
• Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
• Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
• Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentorRequired Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years developing complex integrations in Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or other IaC language. Python.
  • 2+ Workflow design experience managing/maintaining Ansible Tower infrastructure at an enterprise scaleDesired Qualifications:
    • Experience managing/maintaining Ansible Tower infrastructure at an enterprise scaleAnsible Tower Workflow design experience
    • Ability to analyze data, create process flows and presentations
    • Proficient in Jira as well as MS Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint and in Visio
    • Knowledge of containerization platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift/GKE/EKS)
    • Experience with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
