Software Engineer III (GSE Group)The successful candidate for this
position will be responsible for the design and implementation of
ground support equipment (GSE) software, simulators, and test tools
through the full software life cycle for launch vehicles.This
includes the development of software requirement specifications and
design documentation as well as participating in software process
activities including peer reviews, integration testing, and
configuration management.The candidate may also work in conjunction
with a software project manager to develop schedules, track
progress, lead a development team, and support internal and
external program and customer meetings. The ideal candidate shall
possess a Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
degree with a minimum of three (3) years of experience.A security
clearance is also required. Candidates should have experience with
real-time operating systems and the full software development
lifecycle. Experience with software project management is a
plus.Minimum Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Computer Engineering or related technical
discipline and 5 years' experience pr master's and 3 years of
experience.
- Must have current and active secret clearance
- Role is onsite full time. No Remote workRequired Skills:
- Demonstrated experience with Linux hosted application
development.
- Demonstrated experience with real-time systems.
- Demonstrated experience with hardware/software interface
development and integration.
- Demonstrated experience with Agile/Scrum development.
- Knowledge of C++, Java and Python.
- Graphical User Interface (GUI) development utilizing Java
Foundation Classes.
- Demonstrated experience with Unix Inter-Process
Communication.
- Working knowledge of TCP and UDP protocols and networking
concepts.
- Knowledge of requirements management methodologies.
- Simulation application development experience, both real-time
and non-real-time.Other Desirable Skills:
- Event driven, multi-tasking, multi-threaded, and
multi-processor application development.
- Knowledge of POSIX standard.
- Telemetry data acquisition and data reduction experience.
- Knowledge of the Qt Framework.
- Linux driver development experience.
- Duties Specific to this Position:
- Development of software specifications and design
documentation.
- Development, test, and integration of ground based ground
support equipment software. Salary Range: $90,400 USD - $135,600
USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition
to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
