Join Ryder, a leader in transportation and logistics, as a Fleet Maintenance Field Supply Associate, where you will play a critical role in supporting our fleet management and supply chain solutions. This position involves managing the procurement, distribution, and inventory control of fleet maintenance parts and supplies. With a strong focus on operational efficiency and cost management, you will ensure that our fleet operations are supported with the right parts at the right time, contributing significantly to the efficiency and reliability of our services. Develop and implement inventory control systems for tracking and managing fleet maintenance supplies. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery of high-quality parts. Conduct regular audits of inventory to maintain accuracy and prevent overstocking or stockouts. Collaborate with fleet maintenance managers to forecast parts and supplies requirements based on fleet operations. Manage budgets relating to fleet maintenance supplies and initiate cost-saving measures. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in the storage and handling of fleet supplies. Strong organizational and logistical skills Excellent communication and negotiation skills Proficiency in inventory management software Ability to analyze data and forecast supply needs Knowledge of supply chain and logistics operations within the transportation industry Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred Certification from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) is a plus
