I.T. Chief Information Officer (Internal & GRIC Members Only) Job Description This position is responsible for the Enterprise' Information Technology direction and develops the entire information systems strategy and capabilities for all gaming and back office technology purposes while the mid and long-term plans are prioritized while being consistent with enterprise resource constraints, by performing the following duties, as well as demonstrating the GILA WAY.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests. Works closely with executives to create strategic plans for the enterprises' future growth and establishes the IT department's operative goals and objectives.

Analyzes the enterprises' current technology infrastructure and aligns it with the business' strategic plans.

Develops a communication system for the enterprise, including network infrastructure, wide area connectivity, etc. to ensure the security of enterprises' IT assets.

Works closely with IT managers to ensure optimum allocation and utilization of technology resources.

Conducts information security risk assessments and effectively communicates risk to appropriate personnel.

Directs and ensures the IT staff adhere to policies, procedures and regulatory compliance. Develops and distributes information systems related policies, procedures and GICS to appropriate personnel.

Responds to all information technology related internal/external audit and ADOG findings and takes corrective action.

Directs all information management budgeting, planning, business process re-engineering and database system strategies for the enterprise, with the result of improving entell)rise financial performance.

Oversees development and implementation of new technologies and automated gaming systems, as well as modification and improvement of existing systems.

Coordinates and leads the acquisition of new and replacement software/hardware, including the development and constant updating of longer range funding plans for maintenance and/or replacement of hardware.

Ensures 100% operational up-time for all gaming systems.

Ensures that all new systems and software applications are GLI and ADOG approved for use. Creates and monitors customer support systems for mainframe, server, telecommunications, and desktop equipment, while ensuring that immediate responsiveness and resolution occurs.

Responsible for mentoring and developing Pathways Mentorship Program participants to successfully transition to management level positions.

Maintains a dependable work attendance record with extremely infrequent absences and/or lateness.

Performs other special projects and duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises multiple Information Technology management, supervisory, and technical staff members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

. Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related degree required,

Experience in Information Security roles or with developing, implementing and executing information security programs in a large global enterprise required, preferably within a gaming environment.

Project management, systems integration and infrastructure deployment experience preferred.

Must possess excellent guest service skills, strong telephone etiquette, a self-starter with the ability to follow-up and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as well as to gain the cooperation of guests and fellow team members.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.

This position must have, or an ability to acquire within one year, an in-depth knowledge and thorough understanding of Enterprise Policies and Procedures, governmental regulations, and technical rules relevant to their responsibilities.
