Northrop Grumman Space Sector is searching for an experienced Mgr, Programs 2 Flight Test "Deputy Chief Engineer" to join the Program Engineering Management team within Launch Vehicles business unit to support the GMD/DSC Program located in Chandler, AZ.
This position will report to the Program Chief Engineer and the Program Manager. In this position, the Deputy Chief Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following focus areas:

• Oversee and adjudicate issues encountered at System Level Integration and Test
• Perform pre-flight vehicle walk-down and chair Booster photo review process
• Lead I&T and Flight Test failure investigations and present status/findings/remedies to FRRB and Customer boards.
• Develop (as required) and ensure implementation of comprehensive Flight Test execution plans and Customer contract requirements.
• Coordinate or Lead all internal Flight Test readiness reviews (IIRR, IDR, IFRR, FRCR)
• Represent OBV in support all Customer Flight Test readiness reviews (IERB/JERB/MRWG, MAR, MRR, CE Review, SLRR, ERR, MER, EMER)
• Support Flight Test operations as OBV CE at MDIOC
• Ensure that Flight Test hardware and software meet all internal and Customer requirements. Provide justification and adjudicate through proper boards any deviations or waivers to such requirements.
• Provide direct supervision of Flight Test Engineering and technical IPTs including approval of flight staffing plan
• Perform EVMS functions (CAM) for Flight Test WBS elements as needed.

  Basic Qualifications:
  
  This position requires a BS degree in Engineering and ten (10) years of related experience.
  Proficiency in the NGIS-FSD-LV Quality Management System is required.
  System level I&T as well as flight operations experience required.
  Supervisory experience or previous Lead Engineer experience is required.
  Experience with leading system level test anomaly and failure investigations is required.
  U.S Citizenship is required.
  Active DoD Secret Security Clearance is required
  Ability to travel 25% is required.
  Preferred Qualifications
  Familiarity with the OBV architecture and previous participation in GMD flight test operations is highly desired.
