The Consumer Lending Technology (CLT) group executes the Wells Fargo Technology strategy and offers a strategic technology perspective to the lines of business (LOBs) we support. These LOBs include Auto; Card, Retail & Merchant Services; Home Lending; and Personal Loans within Consumer Lending. Our teams provide technology solutions to the LOBs and manage the application portfolios through the enablers of skills, stability, security, scalability, speed, and satisfaction.

We are seeking a Systems Architect who will assist in leading the architecture in the Home Lending space. A key focus area will be in the servicing space but may also include the entire Home Lending technology arena, as required. In this role, you will collaborate with other architects to develop a comprehensive target architect for Home Lending and provide ongoing architectural support and direction for multiple technical efforts across several agile squads. In this capacity, you are a highly technical resource of Home Lending technical team and will partner with other architect teams assigned to the Home Lending line of business to provide technical expertise and business acumen to the technical space.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Acting in a strategic role in the development and maintenance of architectures for a line of business or infrastructure sub-domain that are in compliance with the Enterprise Architecture.
• Working on medium to high architectural impact projects to include recommending exceptions to the Enterprise Architecture for high level projects
• Reviewing and approving medium architectural impact designs,
• Communicating the Enterprise Architecture strategy and direction to both management and systems related teams within their line of business or infrastructure sub-domain (organizational unit) and directing implementation of the architecture for their organizational unit.
• Serving as the highest-level technical consultant to internal clients and technical management to ensure conformity with Enterprise Architecture, having expertise across a broad portion of the organizational unit's architecture, or in-depth expertise within a more specific portion of the architecture.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: systems, applications, or architecture planning
• 3+ years of experience using an industry standard database modeling language

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in one or a combination of the following: systems, applications, or architecture planning
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
• Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
• 7+ years of experience leading medium and large-scale program architecture solutions
• Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
• Knowledge and understanding of applications technology management role including managing applications development and support for multiple systems and business functions
• Strong project management skills
• Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
• Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
• Ability to lead during times of ambiguity and change

Other Desired Qualifications

• Prior related experience leading and/or managing an architecture team
• Product transformation knowledge leveraging latest technology trends and solutions
• Extensive technical skills and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Home Lending Products and application systems
• Extensive technical skills in modernization technologies such as micro-service development and real time messaging (Kafka).
