As a Commercial Account Associate, you will be tasked with generating new business opportunities via pitching life science organizations Clarivate s life Science solutions to booking meetings for a Senior Sales lead to run the consultative part of the sales process to sale execution. You will pitching the Cortellis Suite of solutions to small to mid-tier Pharma & Biotech, CRO s, Financial and Professional Service companies. This role will be located in the Chandler, AZ office and report into the Commercial Sales Manager for the Life Science products. A requirement is to be competent with solution selling principles and practices and demonstrate a high level of professionalism to both clients and work colleagues.Clients use Cortellis to enable precise, actionable answers to specific questions across the R&D lifecycle from discovery and clinical development through regulatory submission and commercialization. Whether you re enhancing target selection, stratifying patients and prioritizing indications or need to understand the regulatory landscape, navigate competitive threats and optimize business development decisions, delivering the insights needed to accelerate innovation with confidence.Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive new business generation with a focus on mid-tier pharmaceutical and biotech companies, as well as other key industry stakeholders, in North American pharma markets
  • Maintaining a robust pipeline for future sales by sourcing new prospects as well as qualifying inbound leads for conversion to set scoped meetings for Senior Sales partner
  • Expert at pitching and performing needs analysis across a diverse range of personas and company types
  • Process driven and methodical lead source, expert objection handler and inquisitive questioner
  • Engaging and communicating effectively with senior (often C-level) decision makers both over the telephone and face to face
  • Accurately maintaining and developing prospect/client data via Salesforce.com
  • Collaborating with other commercial teams to maximize revenue opportunities from prospects and existing clients
  • Developing and maintaining a high level of product knowledge across a broad range of DRG s products and services
  • Attending conferences and events with the aim of developing new business and supporting existing clientsIdeal Candidate Profile:
    • You must possess a Hunter Mentality and exert an abundance of confidence
    • A self-starter who is not afraid of taking the initiative and generating their own ideas on how to findand grow new business
    • Persistent and motivated to overachieve against target
    • Excellent sales, account management and leadership skills
    • Great organization and time management skills
    • General knowledge and understanding of utilizing SFDC
    • The ability to work well within a team environment
    • Desire to grow in your career and work in a fast pace environmentExperience:
      • College degree required
      • Business Intelligence sales experience into the Pharmaceutical sector preferred, which should include proactive telephone-based new business generation.
      • Min 1 years of sales experience
      • Strong commercial acumen with experience of presenting to senior decision makers in the Pharma sector
      • SAAS or Experience selling Services into the Life Science sector is preferred
      • Experience of attending and exhibiting at industry events and conferences
      • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communications skills
      • A motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
      • Passionate about winning; A self-starter with a track record of success, ideally in and out of the workplace
      • Languages: fluency in written & oral English is a must
