We are seeking an experienced and talented Sheet Metal
Fabricator II to join our industry-leading operation in the East
Valley. This role is hands-on in manufacturing and transferrable
experience is sought. The Sheet Metal Fabricator will be
responsible for the setup and operation of sheet metal equipment in
multiple areas and for ensuring that production schedules and
quality standards are met. WHAT DOES THIS JOB ENTAIL? Essential
Duties and Responsibilities: Inspects product to determine if the
process is complete.
Completes part router paperwork, updates tracker, and moves the
part to next department.
Performs daily, routine, and preventive maintenance of all tools
Documents all issues and informs supervision.
Follows all safety rules and policies.
Ability to read and understand drawing/print specifications -- - -
Performs other duties as required. IS IT RIGHT FOR YOU? Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities: Performs the setup and operation of at least
four (4) of the following fabrication work centers: o Deburr,
Timesaver, and Tumbler: Understands the process of each job based
on materials and uses appropriate tools to perform tasks. o Roller:
Understands print and router requirements in order to achieve
roller dimensions and selects the appropriate roller in order to
obtain a specific size and thickness. o Notcher: Sets up stops
according to the drawing specifications in order to meet customer
requirements. o Tapping-Countersink: Understands prints and routers
in order to countersink proper size and location. o Shear:
Identifies tools and materials required for each job and ensures
the best utilization of materials (yield). o 30/30 Single Punch:
Perform required punching per drawing specification and understand
what tools are needed for each job. o Hardware: Uses
drawings/prints, work instructions, and job process sheets to
install hardware in sheet metal parts. Selects and installs correct
tools and ensures proper machine adjustments. o Laser: Downloads
programs to the machine, identifies materials required per
router/print, and understands necessary cutting conditions,
nozzles, lenses, etc. o Turret: Downloads program, identifies
materials, sets up tools in the turret, and tests all forming
tools. o Press Brake: Shapes materials according to print
specifications using the press brake and measures finished products
to ensure accuracy. Strong attention to detail, quality-focused,
and willing to learn.
Demonstrates a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
Educational/Certification Requirement: High School Diploma or
equivalent experience preferred Experience Requirement: -- - - 1
