As a Child & Family Education Specialist , your primary responsibility will be to facilitate curriculum based parenting classes with a dedicated focus on families with teenagers. This position will require the ability to identify and build relationships with key community partners and the ability to recruit teens and their guardians to participate in the classes.

Job Requirements:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serves as the primary instructor for parents/guardians, children, family activities and professionals within the Family Education Program.
Engages, establishes trust, develops relationships, and collaborates effectively with individuals and families from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures and perspectives.
Professionally engages and delivers curriculum using appropriate methods of support while establishing professional boundaries.
Develops and facilitates evidence based curriculum as well as Child Crisis Arizona's strengths based material to parents/guardians, children and other professionals.
Through presentation of curriculum, help families and professionals, learn how to support and promote healthy child development.
Ability to work collaboratively with community providers and link families and clients with needed services offered by other providers.
Through educational experiences, works with individuals in a supportive manner in order to enhance and promotes a healthy and productive learning environment.
Effectively leads group learning environments through in-person classes and virtual sessions.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Education must consist of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field and 2 years' experience working with children or families.
Bilingual - English/Spanish strongly preferred
Must be able to display verbal and written communication skills that meet the requirements of the position and needs of clients.
Experience with teaching or training in a group setting preferred
