Job Description:

ATCi, a division of Evertz Microsystems Ltd is looking for a Master Control/Teleport Operator to join their growing team.

Master Control/Teleport Operators' job will be to support all downlink, uplink, OTT including on a rotational basis maintain ATCi's playout and origination services. They will be required to: maintain and monitor the signal flow, the Evertz playout systems, fiber links, support equipment/infrastructure critical to the ATCi Teleport, and provide the first line of support/troubleshooting for customers. The operator will utilize the Teleports NMS, Visual display systems, and Operation reporting systems to document internal and external errors to the various teleport systems, and if necessary escalate mission-critical errors to upper management/engineering.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible for QA, monitoring, reporting & incident management across all linear, streaming (OTT) and digital platforms.
* Perform the monitoring and switching of all inbound and outbound transmission systems
* Troubleshoot and assist in fixing signal quality, routing issues and incidences according to standard operating procedures
* Help set up equipment to receive and distribute feeds to and from the ATCi teleport
* Support communication with management teams, affiliates and other third party or downstream partners
* Schedule demands flexibility including working overnights and weekends. On-call schedule of 24/7 availability.
* Playout origination services, duties include the following:
* Prepare, import and maintain schedules to automations
* Make revisions to program schedules as directed by the Programming, Production and/or Traffic Departments
* Load and ensure accuracy of program schedules, and make changes as necessary
* Prepare all programming, commercial and promotional content for air/play-out, including encoding, downloading and transcoding media
* Review, segment and ensure technical quality, accuracy and completeness of all media
* Work closely with the Engineering department to ensure the functionality of all equipment and to perform basic equipment maintenance,
* React promptly to technical issues, and advise appropriate personnel in a timely manner
* Complete daily reports on Master Control operations
* Prepare and maintain VOD content for BDUs
* Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

Excellent written, verbal and technical communication skills along with the ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, as well as excellent customer relations, customer service, and presentation skills.

Position requires demonstrated professionalism, poise and tact.

US Citizenship is required.

SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Must have knowledge of typical business operations and working use of a variety of office equipment and computer software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database software (MSWord, Excel, Outlook, Internet, etc) and Google suites.

Must have ability to understand departmental operations and procedures.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Four (4) years of experience as a technician in broadcast or network broadcasting operations or equivalent experience. Knowledge of OTT delivery and transcoding technology and experience with broadcast playout systems and Media Assed Management. Also, experience in satellite communications is required. Customer service experience is crucial. A Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent work experience.
