the top semi-conductor manufacturing companies (ASML customers) in
the world with ensuring their systems are available 24/7, we train
EUV light source and scanner principles, system functionality, and
preventive and corrective service actions.We partner with our
global training colleagues to design and develop performance-based,
instructor-led and web-based training programs that incorporate the
most relevant technical procedures and equipment recovery
processes.The Global Training Team is a driving force in maximizing
system performance and availability for ASML''s customers, paving
the way to bringing smaller and faster microchips that enhance all
electronic equipment utilized in everyday life.Role and
responsibilitiesTechnical trainers are hands-on experts responsible
for delivering high quality technical training to engineers from
the Customer Support (CS) sector and to facilitate their skills and
knowledge development. They will be a member of the Global Training
Center(GTC), ultimately located in the US Training Center. During a
shift, they prepare their classrooms and students for learning,
deliver classroom and lab-based training, maintain their equipment
and tools, and provide feedback to students and leadership.They
will also conduct daily and weekly administrative duties to track
student progress and provide feedback on curriculum quality. They
will work onsite, in shifts that include weekends and nights in
class and cleanrooms.The training team has training facilities in
Netherlands, Taiwan, Korea and USA.* This position will require the
selected candidate to train in no specific order, in San Diego for
three (3), months, in Veldhoven for three (3) months, and in Taiwan
for three (3 months). This is a preliminary plan / schedule and
subject to change.After all training is completed, selected
candidate reside in AZ.This position may require access to
controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration
Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be
legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to
beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed
with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled
technology.* Demonstrate effective blended learning training
delivery techniques in classroom, lab and possibly online
environments.* Excellent customer service and communication skills*
Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) defined in instructional
training material* Examples include, but are not limited to:
Safety, EUV / DUV light sources, scanners, drive lasers,
applications and Yield Star and other training as required* Uses
vetted technical procedures as designed* Uses knowledge and
performance testing and other evaluation methods to measure trainee
progress and effectiveness of training* Reports on progress of
trainees during training periods.* Reviews and revises released
product training for technical accuracy and relevance* Provides
input to course owners for continuous improvement* Collaboratively
Interacts across multiple teams (e.g. New Product Introduction,
Manufacturing, Global Support Centre, Engineering and Customer
Support) effectively and efficiently to address and meet the
learning needs of trainees and equipment performance* Performs
preventive and corrective maintenance on training equipment and
tools* Worldwide travel up to 20% up to two weeks (continuous) at a
time - Based out of Chandler, AZ* Must be able to support onsite
shift work; 24 hours x 7 day environment; any shift, any day*
Performs other duties as assignedEducation and experience*
Bachelors in Science (Electrical, Chemistry, Mechanical
Engineering, Physics or Computer Science, etc.)* Minimum of six (6)
years of relevant, work related experience in technical training*
Proficient in communicating electronic, electrical, gas and/or
mechanical engineering systems theory to ELS audiences in English*
Training credential in work force education, technical field and/or
equivalent experience and education* Minimum three years of
delivering Technical Training with proven expertise* Proficient in
training development; preferably in blended learning products*
Demonstrated ability to determine and effectively report trainee
performance* Capable of operating and maintaining electronic,
optical and mechanical systems* Ability to use standard test
equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators and
power meters* Ability to read, interpret and adhere to
specifications, technical procedures and documents* Intermediate
level arithmetic in the compilation and analysis of basic
quantitative information* Ability to translate, statistically
analyze data, and effectively report problems through spoken,
written and/or graphical formats* Demonstrated understanding of
instructional systems design* A background in field service, system
maintenance and / or process engineering in the semiconductor
industry is preferred.* Experience or knowledge of ASML EUV systems
is preferred* Demonstrated critical thinking, planning,
organizational, coaching and facilitation skills* Excellent written
and verbal communication skills* Excellent customer service skills
with an good understanding of stakeholder alignment* Proficient use
of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and electronic e-mail systems* Must
be able to work in a complex, fast paced, highly dynamic,
collaborative and flexible environment* Able to work in a
multi-functional and multi-cultural environment* Able to work
