Job Description:
Savvas Learning Company is seeking undergraduate students who
want to join our Summer Product Development internship program in
Chandler, AZ. Our internship program is eight weeks long and is a
great opportunity for students to gain valuable experience.
During the program, participants will receive guidance from top
teams in the K-12 education field, work on real-life business
projects, attend weekly informational sessions to learn about other
business areas, network with other students, attend off-site
events, and finally, present a project to Savvas' senior leaders at
the end of the summer to showcase the impact you've made on our
business.
Our internship positions are full-time opportunities, 40 hours per
week, requiring a hybrid work schedule, 2 days onsite, in our
Chandler, AZ office. You'll typically be onsite on Wednesdays and
another day as determined by you and your mentor during the first
week of the program.
Join us for an exciting summer as a Learning Experience Design
Intern, where you'll explore the intersection of AI and media
technology. This role is tailored for curious and creative minds
eager to innovate and make a real impact at a leading educational
company. As part of our Learning Experience Design Media team,
you'll work on real-world projects that integrate cutting-edge AI
tools into media production workflows, optimize systems, and
enhance content creation processes.
A key focus of your internship will be an exploratory project using
AI to analyze and produce art for educational content. You'll dive
into how AI can interpret complex data to generate accurate,
visually engaging illustrations, and contribute to shaping the next
generation of educational materials. Familiarity with AWS Cloud
services and AI tools is a plus, as these skills will help drive
innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:
Assist in researching and implementing AI-driven tools for media
production.
Support team members in optimizing workflows and media systems.
Experiment with new technologies to develop creative solutions for
content creation and delivery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share findings and
innovative ideas.
Assist in researching and implementing AI-driven tools for media
production, with a focus on automating the creation of art.
Support team members in optimizing workflows and media systems,
including AI-enhanced processes for producing high-quality visual
assets.
Experiment with new technologies to develop creative solutions for
content creation and delivery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share findings and
innovative ideas that drive forward AI possibilities.
What We Are Looking For:
Currently enrolled in a degree program in Media Production,
Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Interest in AI and its applications in media, particularly in
generative art.
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Basic knowledge of video production fundamentals.
Creative mindset and passion for exploring new ideas.
Flexibility, initiative, autonomy, and creativity is a must.
Experience with programming languages like Python or JavaScript is
preferred.
Familiarity with AWS Cloud services and AI tools (e.g., machine
learning frameworks or generative AI platforms) also preferred.
What's Next?
We will begin the screening process in December 2024, qualified
candidates will be invited to the following steps:
Phone Screen - You'll have a prescreen via phone with someone from
our Talent Acquisition Team. During this call, our goal is to learn
more about your background and career interests and confirm
information from your application. This is also a great time to ask
any questions that you may have about the company or the internship
program.
Formal Interview - During this stage, you will meet with a panel of
interviewers, via video, including your potential intern mentor and
other members of the intern leadership team. You'll have an
opportunity to learn more about the internship and what you can
expect to gain over the summer while sharing more about the skills
and experience you can bring to the team.
Offer - If identified as the most qualified candidate, you can
expect to receive an employment offer, outlining the internship
details and compensation.
