Compound Photonics (CP) is providing state of the art Augmented/Mixed Reality (AR/MR) displays to leading AR/MR hardware companies and we are GROWING!Our Real Time video pipeline is designed to enable the extreme performance requirements of AR/MR systems. This together with supporting the key light modulation technologies (Amplitude/Phase Liquid Crystal & microLED) provides a robust roadmap which will propel CP in supporting the future generations of Real Time displays.We are currently seeking key Operational and Technical staff to deliver on the promise of AR/MR as the next Computing Platform.If you want to be part of this exciting opportunity for personal growth and think you have got what it takes to succeed in a high end technology environment which offers excellent benefits and prospects then please read on.Purpose of the Role:The primary role of the Reliability Technician is to provide engineering support to the Reliability Engineer(s) by managing and operating lab equipment in the key areas of Reliability and Failure Analysis, in line with business requirements, customer demands (both internal and external), and site policies and procedures.Primary Job Responsibilities:* Manage and supervise day to day Reliability and Failure Analysis tasks* Coordinate and expedite the movement of qualification material between reliability stress and test* Plan and schedule the lab resources to ensure that timelines and deliverables are achieved* Analyze data from reliability testing* Own problem resolution or escalation, as needed, within the area* Maintain equipment in operational statusPrimary Job Duties:* Undertake the tasks assigned for reliability evaluation and product qualification processes in-line with the designated plan and schedule.* Ensure traceability of materials under evaluation.* Assist in root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions to address customer and reliability failure issues.* Schedule, prepare, execute, and report reliability activity in conjunction with the appropriate business unit or testing resource.* Participate in problem resolution for internal process and tool problem investigations.* Provide training to staff in the use of reliability and failure analysis equipment, methods and techniques.* Provide detailed analysis results of reliability and failure analysis data for dissemination throughout the business.* Monitor area performance, identify and implement improvements as required.* Proactively seek ways and means of improving methods and techniques currently employed.* Identify safety hazards in both working practices and equipment, implementing improvements wherever possible, and report in accordance with procedures.* Write procedures for operating lab equipment.* Ensure documentation reflects current working practices, and review and update as required.* Co-ordinate basic maintenance checks of the equipment in the failure analysis and reliability areas.Required Skills and Experience:* Good understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing process.* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a semiconductor reliability or failure analysis environment.* Familiarity with device test methods.* Capable of working in cleanroom conditions.* Ability to work with chemicals.* Excellent time management skills, and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.* Mechanical proficiency with equipment.* Attention to detail and problem solving skills.* Good written and verbal communication skills.* Proficient in MS Office, Excel, general computer skills and knowledge of office software packages.Desired additional Expertise:* Capable of performing visual inspections* Detailed knowledge of Failure Analysis techniques* Significant experience of the requirements and practicalities of reliability testing* Familiarity with cleanroom fabrication environments* Experience within an electronics design and manufacturing business* Familiarity with liquid crystal display systemsOther Qualifications:* Self-starter; must be capable of working independently with limited supervision, but in a collaborative environment with other design, engineering, and operational team members.* Methodical, organized, and thorough approach to solving problems.Must be capable of writing specifications, memos, reports, and other documentation in concise English
