27925BRRequisition ID:27925BRBusiness Unit:FSUJob Description:CDM Smith is seeking a certified construction inspection to conduct pipeline inspections, manhole inspections, and conduct overall support for a multi-year assignment supporting improvements for resilience in Nogales, Arizona. The opportunity is for anyone comfortable with construction inspection, working with contractors, and delivering interim reports to clients.Job Description:-Under general supervision, provides basic to moderately complex administrative and technical support to the project superintendents and project manager.-Supervise and direct overall project activities as assigned. -Provide technical, field, and administrative direction to field personnel.-Prepares and reviews submittals.-Issues construction documents and layout to field crews.-Prepares and interprets specifications drawings for foreman and superintendents.-Maintains and edits all field as - built drawings for project Complete requests for information (RFI) Maintain/Update Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) reporting Coordinate timely arrival of parts, equipment, construction materials, and installation with field personnel and vendors.-Assists in developing purchase orders, subcontracts, change orders, and applications for payment to the client.-Performs surveying functions and verifies final locations and elevations.-Assists in preparation of required documentation records such as: conforming bid documents from addenda, status reports, Operations and Maintenance manuals, warranties, spare parts, punch lists.-Assists design engineers and labor/subcontractors to determine solutions for unexpected site conditions.-May attend meetings with Owner, subcontractor and associated project personnel.-May manage small and basic pieces of a construction project independently.Job Title:Construction Specialist 3Group:WAF FieldCDM Smith Employment Type:IntermittentMinimum Qualifications:-Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.-3 years of related experience.-Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.Preferred Qualifications:Preferred Certifications and skill sets:-Two (2) years experience in CIPP inspection site utility installation inspection and earthwork inspection-Familiarity with different CIPP products, manufacturers, and processes-Familiarity with different sewer manhole protective/structural lining or coating system products, manufacturers, and processes-Understanding of construction project related environmental protection measures and experience with Federal Government Contract inspection-Experience that includes at least two (2) years of manhole rehabilitation inspection and sewage bypass system inspection-NASSCO Inspector Training and Certification Program (ITCP) Cured In Place Pipe and Manhole Rehabilitation-OSHA Confined Space Training-Knowledge and experience in ASTM, ACI, ICRI, NASSCO, and other miscellaneous construction testing requirements, as well as knowledge in construction inspection procedures, and inspections methodologies, including the use of holiday detectors, nuclear gauges, concrete sampling, and construction safety.EEO Statement:We attract the best people in the industry, supporting their efforts to learn and grow.
