Explore your future and launch your career today.Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Principal Program Planning Schedule Analyst for our Chandler, AZ location. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and will interface with all levels of employees, management, and executive leadership. In this role the incumbent will work independently on multiple concurrent programs and proposals and prepare, develop and coordinate the Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet all program objectives.The qualified applicant will join a cohort of employees re-entering the workforce after a current career break of at least two years. This cohort will receive special on-boarding designed to provide an effective re-entry into the workforce. iReturn provides experienced professionals with a 12-week "returnship" to prepare for a full-time career in one of several fields at Northrop Grumman through training, professional development and networking opportunities. Qualified applicants will join a cohort of employees returning to the workforce after a 2+ career break for this "returnship" program that focuses on giving you a seamless transition back into the workforce. This cohort program will run for 12 weeks starting early 2022 and prepare candidates for an effective re-entry into the workforce. Upon completion of the program, candidates will be eligible for full-time roles with the company. Learn more about the iReturn program here.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Provide Engineering planning support to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Control Account Managers (CAMs) to establish program baseline and manage program execution
    • Collaborate with IPTs/CAMs to determine, monitor, and review operational budgets, schedules, and manpower requirements
    • Analyzes effects of projects upon functional areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources
    • Track plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, prepare & implement change requests, identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflicts
    • Evaluate subcontract / supplier schedules and integrate into IMS
    • Interface / collaborate with the financial team to ensure program cost and schedule integration
    • Perform detailed schedule, resource, work, and cost analysis in deriving solutions / recommendations to address program issues
    • Effective engagement with multiple functional teams, supplier teams, and the Program/Project Manager
    • Develop and present weekly program schedule performance metrics by IPT or product to various levels of leadership
    • Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, and work requirements
    • Prepare and validate month end IMS submittal to customer in conjunction with scheduling best practices
    • Understands Engineering Statement of Work (SOW), product details, and processes to provide recommendations for critical management decisions
    • Prepares and support program events including Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSR) audits
    • Develop/Support new business proposal efforts
    • Understanding of schedule performance impacts on program financials
    • Participate in company/organization process improvement, automation and innovation initiatives
    • Implements scheduling best practices as prescribed by industry to include, but not limited to:
      • DCMA 14-point, DECM (EVAS)
      • IPMR, IPMDAR DI-MGMT-81861
      • Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
      • Critical Path Analysis
      • Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)
      • Schedule Performance and Health Metrics and AnalysisBasic Qualifications:
        • A current career break of 2 years
        • 5 years of experience in Business Management with Bachelor's degree, or 4 years of experience with a Master's OR; 9 years of experience in lieu of BA degree
        • Experience scheduling in an Earned Value management environment
        • Proficiency with MS Project, MS Excel and MS Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
        • Ability to obtain DoD (Department of Defense) Secret ClearancePreferred Qualifications:
          • Master's degree in Business Administration / Management, Supply Chain, or STEM
          • Experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Server 2010/2013/2019
          • Knowledge with Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development; Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA) approach and execution
          • Familiarity with DI-MGMT-81650 and related government requirements
          • Active, DoD Top Secret and/or SCI Clearance#LI-TD1Salary Range: 61600 - 102600Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
