  Northrop Grumman Space Systems is searching for an Electrical Engineer/ Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Integration (Build) and Test team within the Launch Vehicles business unit at the Chandler, AZ facility.
  
  Job Responsibilities
  The candidate will serve as an Integration and Test Electrical Engineer for an assigned Program, requiring the candidate to function in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment. Daily responsibilities will require direct contact with launch vehicle flight hardware and electrical ground support equipment. The candidate will help develop the concept of operation for all integration and test activities associated with preparation and execution of flight test operations at the launch range. Specific duties may include:
  • Establish Space Systems system tools to be used for program execution
  • Hands-on testing at a systems level
  • Developing and maintaining procedures for the assembly and test of launch vehicle systems
  • Incorporating hardware design changes
  • Documenting & dispositioning hardware discrepancies, pursuing root cause & corrective actions
  • Coordinating integration activities
  • Planning and scheduling day to day tasksThis position may be offered at the Engineer Electrical Level 2 or Principal Engineer Level 3.
    
    Basic Qualifications
    If offered at the Engineer Electrical Level 2 requires:
    • 2 Years with Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or qualifying discipline; 0 Years with Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or qualifying disciplineIf offered at the Principal Engineer Electrical Level 3 requires:
      • 5 Years with Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or qualifying discipline; 3 Years with Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or qualifying discipline; 0 Years with PhD.
      • Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance, which generally requires US Citizenship as a prerequisite
      • Ability to travel: Travel expectation 25%
      • Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain a U.S. Passport for travel
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to large customer community
      • Ability to solve problems, support troubleshooting efforts, drive tasks to completion
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
      • Ability to work in a team environment, and lead small projects or teams Preferred Qualifications
        • Experience performing formal requirements decomposition and/or verification
        • Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or Systems Engineering background
        • Experience with aerospace standards/guidelines
        • Experience with external customer interfacing including meetings, presentations & negotiations
        • Experience working with operational hazards such as propulsive devices, pressurized systems, overhead lifting, and high voltage systems
        • Knowledge and experience with CAD software
        • Experience working with design, integration, or testing of launch vehicles Salary Range: $71,100 USD - $106,700 USD
          Salary Range 2: $87,600 USD - $131,400 USD
          
          Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
