will:Manage multiple portfolios of solar PV generating
plantsInterface with industry leading developers, owners, and
operators in a high-exposure customer facing roleDiagnose
performance issues and execute performance improvement plansDevelop
advanced computational methods to improve efficiency and
effectiveness of the teamCollaborate cross-functionally across the
organization to identify business opportunitiesDuties and
ResponsibilitiesGenerate daily/weekly/monthly/annual performance
reports using a python code-based report generatorGenerate ad-hoc
performance reports at customer requestIdentify performance
shortfalls and take necessary steps to improveTroubleshoot common
problems with plant measurement equipment and data quality
errorsDrive continuous improvement of performance team procedures
and toolsParticipate in team development with direction from team
leadersCommunicate effectively and accurately with customers to
review site performanceCompare measured energy to contractual
predicted and expected energy and evaluate plant performance
modelsEducation, Skills, and Related Work ExperienceBachelor's
degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering. Graduate degree a
plusTraining in energy systems is preferred with some understanding
of PV performance prediction. This includes resource assessment,
sky transposition models, mono/poly/thin film PV module
characteristics, inverters, array soiling and shading, DC and AC
collection systems, and power grid dynamics1-3 years of experience
in power generation industry with significant time spent
on:performance shortfall root cause analysisanalyzing large data
setsvisualizing data in a variety of graphical formatsidentifying
trends and outlierspractical knowledge of data mining
techniquesapplication of basic statistical principlesusing and/or
contributing to open-source softwareProficiency with Excel and all
other Microsoft Office Suite programsProficiency with database
query language such as SQLProficiency with Python type programming
environmentsProficiency with solar plant modeling software such as
PVSyst or HelioscopeAbility to communicate efficiently and
accurately in spoken and written English while conveying a sense of
professionalism, courtesy, and competencyDemonstrated analytical
skills with the ability to accurately describe the relationship
between physical events and trends in measured data of highly
complex systemsAbility to work in cross-matrix teams of peers to
efficiently complete highly complex projects and goalsAbility to
share technical expertise with team members and mentor others for
successAbility to prioritize and execute multiple projects and
